Richard Dean Todd, Sr., 67 passed away, Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Veteran's Hospital in Charleston, SC after complications from surgery. He was born August 18, 1949 in Conway, SC a son of the late Bennett T. and Lavania S. Todd. Mr. Todd was a United States Marine serving his country proudly during Vietnam where he was awarded the Purple Heart and Combat Action Ribbon. He graduated from Myrtle Beach High School in 1967. Survivors include three children, Richard Dean Todd, II of Myrtle Beach, SC, Ryan Douglas Todd of Eugene, OR and Karly Parrish of Lumberton, NC; a sister, Patricia Todd Cooper and husband, Dennis of North Myrtle Beach, SC; two brothers, Monty S. Todd and wife, Brenda of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Bennett T. Todd III of Sunset Beach, SC; and two grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday March 1, 2017 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 PM. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday March 2, 2017 at Southern Palms Memorial Gardens with Dr. Kirk Lawton officiating.
