James C. Bost, 69, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014.Born in Great Falls, Montana, he was the son of Ellen Bueller Bost and the late Ed Bost. He was a graduate of Wofford University and received his master's degree from the University of South Carolina. He was a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity and played and sang blue grass music his whole life. Jim retired from the South Carolina Department of Mental Health as a counselor. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 46 years, Tonda Ellington Bost; two children, Jason Bost and wife Anna Marie of Myrtle Beach, SC and Eric Bost and wife Elizabeth of Seneca, SC; brother, Ed Bost of Simpsonville, SC; sister, Grace Rouse of Statesville, NC and five grandchildren.A private service will be held at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the The ALS AssociationGift Processing Center, PO Box 6051, Albert Lea, MN 56007 or Hospice House Foundation, PO Box 815, Franklin, NC 28744.Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.Online condolences can be made at maconfuneralhome.com

The years go by too fast ! ! !  Though I'm a year younger, I remember Jimmy well, and his whole family.  My regards to all of them.....  Ellen, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your son.  I'd love to see you sometime in the future.    Hope you are as well as such a sad occurence allows for you.
