Doris Joines Death

Doris Joan "Red" Sessions Joines February 13, 1938 - September 2, 2013 Conway Doris Joan "Red" Joines, age 75, died Monday, September 2, 2013 at Agape Rehabilitation following an illness. Ms. Joines was born in Conway, a daughter of the later Jesse Paul and Alice Booth Sessions. She was of the Baptist Faith. Ms. Joines was the former owner of the 2nd Avenue Pier and Silver Hook Restaurant. Prior to retirement, she was Manager of the Easy Pick-Up Convenience Store in Conway. Ms. Joines was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Fowler and Lois Watts. Surviving are: one daughter, Lori Cooper and husband Mark of Myrtle Beach; two grandchildren, Steven Franks and fiancé Miranda of Murrells Inlet and Hayley Franks of Myrtle Beach; two brothers, John Sessions and wife Gail of North Myrtle Beach and Jesse Sessions of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Diane Geraldo and husband Gene and Dorothy Rhyne and husband Brent, all of Myrtle Beach. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday from Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Danny Banks officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Thursday. Memorials may be sent to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
